The T0-8/T08B style package performs well to approximately 10 GHz in broadband units and can be pushed to 12 GHz in narrowband units. At higher frequencies, this package becomes increasingly difficult to broadband match due to the highly inductive RF output launch.

The Planar (Surface Mount) Package has good RF launch characteristics up to 12 Ghz. It is the preferred package for higher RF frequencies.

The STD Module has good RF launch characteristics up to 18 GHz and has the additional benefits of:

  • A field replaceable RF connector
  • Enables use of a coaxial RF interconnect for minimum RFI
  • Sufficient room inside for a micropower heater assembly
