Spinnaker Microwave Inc, is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of microwave components and subsystems including Voltage Controlled Oscillators, Frequency Synthesizers and Custom Microwave Assemblies for use in the Commercial, Military and Test Instrumentation markets.

Current Openings

We are actively seeking experienced RF Engineers and Technicians to support the development of new products to address the requirements of our customers.

Job Duties would include: Design and development of Microwave Synthesizers in the 1-40 GHz range, using indirect, direct, dual loop, and DDS based techniques.  Use diagnostic and trouble shoot skills to refine designs for ease of manufacture and cost reduction.  Plan, prepare and maintain detailed documentation of hardware and software.  Work with technicians, project teams and management to achieve company goal of increased sales revenues.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years experience designing with microwave components such as vco’s, pll’s, synthesizers, mixers, amplifiers, filters in the 1-40 GHz bandwidth.
  • Experience with chip and wire MIC design techniques, Mixed signal layout, and RF grounding issues.
  • Experience with digital / analog schematic and board layout using Mentor Graphics
  • Experience with CAD to create and maintain mechanical structures and electronic design files
  • Experience with writing code in LabView
  • Must be familiar with Verilog/ VHDL design and simulation
  • Must be able to work well both as an individual and in a team environment
  • Great communication and writing skills
